Keilir Aviation Academy in Iceland has added a new Redbird MCX flight simulator for pilot training. The simulator is a welcome addition to a list of seven Diamond training aircraft already in operation and will expand the opportunities and training possibilities at the school. Currently close to one hundred pilot students are enrolled in private and professional pilot programs at Keilir, a number that has grown exponentially over the past few years.

 

Earlier this month Keilir signed an agreement with EASA - the European Aviation Safety Agency confirming the school as an official operator of flight simulators and certifying the Redbird simulator for pilot training in accordance with EASA rules and regulations.

 

The Redbird MCX is a superior-quality, full motion, feature-rich Advanced Aviation Training Device priced with real-world flight training organizations in mind. The MCX is a dual yoke, dual rudder version of our FMX that is geared towards Crew Resource Management (CRM) and two pilot cockpit training.
