Terry Palechuk is the lead instructor for both our our Avalanche Skills Training courses as well as for our first ever Ski Tour 1 course starting this week at the Tröllaskagi Peninsula in North Iceland. 

Terry has been working in the Adventure Guide program at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) for the past 17 years and is a certified ACMG Ski Guide (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides) as well as Hiking Guide.

He coordinates and instructs the ski tour, hiking and canoeing programs at TRU and is actively involved with public avalanche education, serving on the board of directors of Avalanche Canada as well as chairing the instructor training committee (Terry spends some time instructing the level 1 professional avalanche course for the Canadian Avalanche Association).

When not ski touring, you can find Terry out on his sled with his 14 year old daughter, skis strapped on looking for more skiing opportunities.
