EuropeActive has accredited the new Nordic Fitness Edcuation at Keilir Health Academy, the first fully online international personal trainer programme to receive this status from the organisation. As such all future graduates will be signed up to the European Register of Exercise Professionals.

Carlos Buhler, one of America's leading high altitude mountaineers, was recently a guest speaker at TRU - Keilir Advenutre Guide studies program.

We had the pleasure to welcome Dean Dr. Douglas Booth from Thompson Rivers University in a formal visit to Keilir in November. Dr. Booth is the Dean for the Faculty of Adventure, Culinary Arts and Tourism at TRU which has partnered and accredited our adventure guide studies program since 2013.

A total of sixteen students from six different countries began this year's Adventure Guide class, the seventh time Keilir and Thompsons Rivers University offer the program in Iceland.

total of nine candidates from the Keilir and Thompson Rivers University adventure studies program graduated on 14 June at Andrews Theater in Reykjanesbær, Iceland. This is the sixt commencement class in the program since the first graduation in 2014.

The Sleep Recovery Specialist (SRS) is an online, continuing professional development course that helps fitness professionals gain the knowledge and skills necessary to support and guide a client’s behaviours and actions to positively impact their sleep. This is a ground-breaking first for the European fitness industry - act now and study in this essential and much needed discipline.

Adventure Guide students at Keilir will have an orientation day on Monday 27 August. Students are requested to meet in room B7 in Keilir main building at Asbru in Reykjanesbær.

Keilir has received applications for the Thompson Rivers University Adventure Guide Program in Iceland for Fall semester 2018 from a number of different countries including the United States, Norway, Greenland, Denmark and Germany.
