Second year students at Keilir Institute of Technology (KIT) took part in a meeting focusing on organising their team work for the coming weeks. The meeting to place at the Eldey Incubator Center in Asbru.

The meeting was part of the MEK330 - PLC/PAC course and students were split into two teams focusing on starting up two conveyor belt systems donated to KIT by the Icelandic company Marel, which provides equipment, systems and services to the food processing industry.

To organize their project work the groups used the so called agile methodology. This way of organising projects is typical for the IT and programming sector. The meeting focused on planning the "scrum sprint". In agile methodology this is a packet of work, that has to be delivered over 3-4 weeks period. KIT students will present the final results of their projects in the second week of June.
